Indian Cultural Festival At Cadence Academy- Wardhaman Nagar, Nagpur
Indian Cultural festival was celebrated at Cadence Academy’s Wardhaman Nagar Center with great pomp and show . The main objective behind this event was to make an attempt to fix the lost connect of today’s generation with Indian traditions. Present on the occasion were Mr. Rupesh Kumar, Managing Director, Cadence Academy; Mr. Amit Zham, Center Director- Cadence Academy, Wardhaman Nagar, Judge Mrs.Vanshi Motwani and other dignitaries from the institute. The following were the themes of the cultural programme that was organized :
The “Jai Maharastra “ team of Pinki ,Minal ,Ruchira ,Archana ,Reshu, Payal and Tejal ensured that the flavor of Maharastra was being conveyed by their food and attire.
The Punjabi” Chak-De-Phatte” team comprised of Rima , Ina ,Pooja, Tejal, Minal and Ashita showcasing Rustic Punjabi Dhabha with Manjhi(bed) and Bonfire(lohri)
The “Aami Tumha Ke Bhalo Bhasi “ Bengali team was lead by Dinky wearing a bengali kurta payjama and , Mona, Suruchi, Nidhi, Pratika, Kanchan and Yadhnaya in saree with a large red bindi making them and the stall look great.
“Padharo Mare Desh” the Rajasthani theme was aptly supported by Apeksha, Aaliya, Snehal, Minal, Rishikha and Aarti. They were outstanding in their colourfull dresses and heavy jewellery.
The” Khem Cho” Gujus consisting of Jayshree, Payal, Prachi, Poonam, Zeba, Chaitali, Anubhuti, Anuraddha, Aishwarya and Rashmi stole everyone’s heart with their authentic food and Rass Garbha steps.
Madhuban theme depicted the childhood story of Lord Krishna. The Gopis lead by Honey, Pratiksha, Manisha, Nita, Payal, Komal and Reshma and Ankita in Lord Krishna attire ensured fun and frolic throughout the event.
The South-Indian” Vadakkham “theme lead by Chetana, Pooja Thakkre, Monica, Ankita, Pooja Diwate, and Roshni brought the southern part alive with their authentic pyassam and vada sambar.
The Christmas carnival comprising of Lord Jesus Christ’s birth story was very well established by Prerna, Sneha, Prachi, Komal, Rachna , Shweta and Sayali with great enthusiasm .
Mr. Amit Zham speaking on this occasion said that, “There is a need to educate our young generation about the Indian customs and traditions. Through this activity, even though on a small scale, we have managed to do that. Our students were deeply involved since the past 10-15 days in this activity and spent a lot of time researching the cultures which were assigned to them.”
